Men's Shed Trip to Glasnevin Cemetery

In March our local D8 Men’s Shed visited Glasnevin Cemetery on International Women’s Day. The tour included visits to the resting places of Charles Stewart Parnell, Michael Collins, Countess Markievicz, Maud Gonne and many others. The group also visited the crypt of Daniel O’Connell. The tour was very insightful and our guide on the day, Catherine, was very knowledgeable regarding a place that is steeped in Irish history. It was a chilly, but enjoyable day out.
